G-PLAN is a furniture brand launched in 1952 by Ebenezer Gomme, a company founded in 1898 in the town of High Wycombe in the UK. It was the first in the UK to embrace the Scandinavian furniture boom of the 1950s, and by the 1960s it had become so popular that it was said to be a symbol of London's urban lifestyle. "G" stands for Gomme, and "PLAN" stands for planning, which means "planning your lifestyle." The product concept was a groundbreaking idea at the time, where people could enjoy creating a modern room in its entirety by purchasing individual items little by little. In 1987, the company was sold, and after many twists and turns, sofas are still manufactured by G Plan Upholstery in the west of England, and cabinets by G Plan Cabinets in Scotland.

Nathan was founded in 1916 in London, England, when Russian-born Barnett Nathan produced handmade furniture. In 1954, Nathan's designs were selected as representative of the UK at a furniture exhibition held in New York, and the company quickly became famous, and began to produce teak furniture in earnest. Along with Ebenezer Goom, famous for the G-plan series, Nathan has developed into one of the leading furniture manufacturers of the UK mid-century. In particular, the "Classic Range" series is a timeless design that perfectly combines excellent comfort and craftsmanship. They have created a unique design style that is an eclectic mix of classic and Nordic styles, and the natural shine of the combination of Jacobean door styling and beautiful teak has captivated London's urban dwellers.

Jentique is a British furniture manufacturer based in Letchworth, a suburb of London. It was founded in 1914 by furniture craftsmen Daniel Meredew and Hard & Austin. For a while they manufactured traditional British furniture, but with the advent of modern design after the war, they hired Alphons Loebenstein, a designer who had fled from Germany, as their designated designer. They abolished all traditional lines and shifted to manufacturing modern furniture. Since then, they have manufactured a large number of Scandinavian-style furniture. Although they are not well known in Japan, the quality and design of their products are comparable to those of G-PLAN and AHMcIntosh, and they can be said to be one of the leading furniture manufacturers of the British mid-century period.
