This is an architecture and crafts style that was very popular in the UK for 20 years from 1870 during the late Victorian period. Like the Gothic Revival boom of the early Victorian period, it features eclectic decorative elements that bring together classical European ornamentation, but it emphasizes functionality and rationality and keeps direct decoration to a minimum. It is a style that goes well with modern interiors.
