Collection: Rococo style Louis XV style
This style was popular among aristocrats in the mid-18th century after the death of Louis XIV in France, as they began to enjoy social life away from the absolute rule of the king. The origin of the word Rococo comes from the shell-shaped decoration (rocaille), which is a motif of Rococo decoration. It is a light and gorgeous style, while still retaining the tendency of the excessive decoration of the Baroque style.
