Collection: Ladder Back Chair

As the name suggests, a ladder back chair is a chair with a backrest with continuous horizontal bars like a ladder. It is one of the standard styles of chairs that were widely used in the 17th and 18th century British Chippendale style, American Colonial style, and Shaker style, and is also called a slat back. In modern times, a famous chair is called "Hill House", which was redesigned by architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1902.
