Collection: Windsor / Colonial / Early American

Apart from the classical style, which symbolizes authority and was made for kings, aristocrats, and the wealthy, this is an interior style that has been made since the 18th century as furniture for the everyday lives of ordinary people. It is a style that is still alive today, with a motif based on European furniture styles, but with simplified construction methods and practical shapes. The Windsor style, folk furniture made by British farmers, was brought to America by British immigrants, and was eventually manufactured locally, becoming the source of the American Colonial style and Early American style.
