Chestnut Wood

Chestnut trees are difficult to dry, but they are durable and water-resistant, and have long been used as a material for the foundations of houses, which are generally said to be prone to corrosion when made from normal wood. It is a high-quality wood with little warping, but as the amount of wood stock is decreasing, it is becoming more and more valuable. It is also very popular with furniture craftsmen as a furniture material, and when used as table or counter tops, finishing with lacquer makes the grain clear and gives a beautiful finish. It is also often used for decorative parts such as accessories.
