Collection: Paper Code

Paper cord is a type of paper string that has been soaked in resin and twisted together. It was produced in Northern Europe during World War I and was originally used for farm work before being repurposed for chair seats. It is stronger than you would think it was paper cord, and the carefully woven paper cord seat has the same strength as leather or fabric. It stays dry in the summer and warm in the winter, and the seat will mold to your body as you continue to use it. Another advantage is that it can be rewoven to extend its life.
