Collection: Rattan
Rattan is a palm plant that grows naturally in the jungles of tropical rainforests, mainly in Southeast Asia, and is known in Japanese as "Tou." It is a vine-like plant with joints and is covered in bark with thorns. Its strong vitality makes it stronger and less likely to break than regular wood, and it is also easy to process into curves, so it is torn into small pieces and woven into baskets and chair seats, and thicker pieces are used for walking sticks and furniture frames.
