Collection: SCHREiBER
A British furniture brand founded by Polish immigrant Chaim Schreiber. During the war, Chaim Schreiber fled to the UK to escape Nazi persecution and began manufacturing radio cabinets for major manufacturers. In 1957, he bought a bankrupt furniture manufacturer and began manufacturing furniture under the SCHREiBER brand name. His unique philosophy, known as "furniture engineering," created a manufacturing process that could provide the highest quality at low prices, and the brand was particularly successful in the 1960s and 1970s. At its peak, Schreiber's sales surpassed those of fellow British brand G-Plan, making it one of the leading brands of the British mid-century period and it remains highly popular today.
