Collection: mina perhonen

Designer Akira Minagawa launched mina in 1995. In 2003, the brand name was changed to "mina perhonen." Drawing on social observations and a poetic sentiment for nature, the brand expresses a unique world through the harmony of textiles (fabrics) that utilize traditional Japanese weaving and printing techniques and narrative designs. In 2006, the brand won the Mainichi Fashion Grand Prize. In recent years, the brand has attracted attention for its lifestyle designs for furniture and tableware, as well as the design of uniforms for the Aomori Museum of Art and Tokyo SkytreeR.
