Collection: Jasper Morrison

Born in London in 1959. After studying at Kingston School of Art and the RCA, he established his own design office in 1994. He has been working on the fusion of design and art, starting with an installation at Documenta 8 in Kassel, followed by an installation for Vitra in 1988 called "New Items for the Home". Morrison's designs contain many elements that could be considered the origin of minimalism, a major trend in modern Britain, and are the most distinctive embodiment of the "New Simplicity" that is the mainstream of modern furniture. In fact, despite the simplicity of his furniture and products, they have such a strong presence that one would want to call them works of art. He can be said to be one of the most successful designers of our time in the sense that he is able to fuse originality, practicality, and even artistry. In recent years, he has been in the spotlight for participating in Apple's design projects.
