Cabriole legs (cat legs)

The animal legs, commonly known as cat legs, were created by redesigning the spiral front legs of the acanthus motif, a classical Western European decoration, and are inspired by the legs of various animals. The word is derived from the French dance term Cabriole (to bounce) and the Italian Capriola (the way a goat leaps).
