Collection: Hida Industry Woodpecker

Based in Hida Takayama, a famous furniture production area, this is Japan's top woodworking brand that produces high-quality furniture incorporating Japan's skilled woodworking techniques. Formerly known as Chuo Mokko, which was founded in 1920, this long-established company is also a pioneer in the manufacture of bentwood furniture in Japan. The company has been attracting attention both from within Japan and overseas for establishing a collaborative brand with top Italian designer Enzo Mari on the site of the former Dojunkai apartments in Aoyama, Tokyo, taking over a Hokkaido folk craft furniture brand that was on the verge of closing down, and reproducing the Yanagi Chair designed by Sori Yanagi.
