Founded in 1924, Woods is a furniture manufacturer that uses traditional oak, one of the UK's leading materials. Its founder, Herbert Woods, wanted to create furniture that would not be influenced by the times or trends, and would become antique with use. The Old Charm collection is particularly famous, and the hand-carved sculptures, which can be seen in the Tudor Elizabethan design drawings, are still produced today using traditional techniques.
