Nambu Ironware

"Cast ironware" is produced in the area centered around Morioka City, the castle town of the former lord of the Nanbu clan. It is said that it began in the mid-17th century when the lord of the Nanbu clan invited a kettle maker from Kyoto to Morioka to make kettles for tea ceremonies.
