Collection: Arne Hovmand Olsen (1919-1989)
A Danish furniture designer born in 1919, Hoffman began working at a cabinet maker's furniture production company at the age of 19 while studying painting and design. In 1941, he entered the Aarhus Furniture Design College and began to study furniture design in earnest. After graduating, he established his own furniture studio. He achieved success by producing many excellent Scandinavian-style designs. He favors high-quality woods with beautiful grain such as teak and rosewood, and his designs are characterized by simple forms, organic curves, and tapered legs.
