Collection: Fritz Haller
Fritz Haller was born in Solothurn, Switzerland, as the son of Swiss architect Bruno Haller. In 1963, he co-developed the groundbreaking modular furniture system "USM Haller System" with Paul Schaerer, the third generation owner of USM. After achieving great success, Haller expanded his scope of work, becoming a professor at the University of Southern California and the University of Karlsruhe, and director of the Institute for Industrial Construction, while continuing his energetic design work in his own studio. In 1992, he received an honorary doctorate from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Dortmund. In 2001, his name was engraved in history when his work was added to the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Fritz Haller is the designer who created timeless masterpieces.
