Eric Owen

A British designer who served as chief designer of the model making and sculpture department at the Wedgwood factory from 1946 to 1967. Owen was elected a member of the Society of Industrial Artists in 1957, and in the year of Wedgwood's retirement, he won a gold medal in the ceramics category at the International Exhibition of Fine Ceramics held in Italy. He was active in a wide range of fields, including the Wedgwood Pennine series released in 1965, as well as portrait and medallion designs.
