Collection: Danish Art Weaving

This fabric manufacturer was founded in 1949 in Brandaslev, Denmark. The company was founded when the founders were fascinated by the traditional Danish fabric olmerdug and decided to revive and popularize it. Everything from washing the raw materials and dyeing to hand weaving is done in the company's hometown, and the company became known throughout the country in 1953 when it invited the King of Denmark and Queen Ingrid to tour its factory. Since 1972, machine weaving has been introduced to the process that had previously been entirely hand weaving, and Danish Art Weaving fabrics are now woven within the EU, but not in Denmark. Although the place where the fabrics are woven and the process have changed, the company continues to protect its quality, tradition and design with the same passion as when it was founded.
