Tapio Wirkkala (1915-1985)

Born in Hanko, Finland in 1915. After working in Finland, he became a glass designer for Iittala in 1946. Based in the natural environment of his hometown, he has created numerous works using a variety of materials. He is a representative Finnish designer.
