Collection: Turnidge
A furniture manufacturer established in London in 1933. They did not make furniture such as tables or chairs, but specialized in manufacturing bar counters, bookcases, and display cabinets. Like other British manufacturers, they rode the Scandinavian furniture boom and produced Scandinavian-style furniture mainly made from teak in the 1960s. In the mid-1970s, with the revival of traditional British style, they also produced antique-style furniture using mahogany and other materials. As they were a manufacturer that specialized in a specific type of furniture, their furniture is rare even in their home country of England, with only a small number of their products. They are a rare manufacturer that can only be seen very rarely even in Japan.
