The New Fresco dressing desk was designed by Victor Bramwell Wilkins for G-PLAN, a brand emblematic of mid-century Britain.
This refined version of the early Fresco series dresser has changed legs, and was originally designed as a dresser with a movable mirror, but the mirror can be removed and it can also be used as a desk. It is a beautiful item with ample storage space and a well-balanced design.
It has a large-capacity storage space on the bottom, a shelf with sliding doors on the top that can be changed according to the situation, and a bureau that can be opened to turn into a compact study desk, making it suitable for a variety of uses, such as a cupboard, study desk, decorative shelf in the living room, or even as an all-in-one piece of furniture for single living. This sideboard has a highly practical design that is unique to the UK, where housing conditions are similar to those in Japan.
The design has details in common with the circular table designed as part of the Fresco series living collection. It is a long table called a long john table that goes well with a three-seater sofa. It is a highly practical table with a glass top in the center and a rack underneath that doubles as a display and storage space.
