This is the Sierra Series low cabinet designed by Victor Bramwell Wilkins for G-PLAN.
This low cabinet is also used as a base cabinet for the Sierra series wall units. It is a compact-sized cabinet that can be used for multiple purposes, such as an AV board, display stand, desk side storage, console table, and sideboard.
The Sierra series was released in the 1970s. It is characterized by a design based on straight lines like the early Brandon series, and is a departure from the rounded Nordic style silhouettes of the Fresco and Brasilia series, which were inherited from the Danish series designed by Larsen. This series is truly a return to the origins. It is a popular series that is said to have sold the most of all G-PLAN series, but the number of units imported to Japan is extremely small, making it a very rare item.
The design has details in common with the circular table designed as part of the Fresco series living collection. It is a long table called a long john table that goes well with a three-seater sofa. It is a highly practical table with a glass top in the center and a rack underneath that doubles as a display and storage space.
