This is the Fresco extending round dining table designed by Victor Bramwell Wilkins for G-PLAN, a representative British mid-century brand.
This round extension table is a standard model that can be said to be the centerpiece of the mid-century G-PLAN collection. It is a basic and highly versatile table that can be combined with other teak series such as Fresco, Sierra, and Danish in the G-PLAN catalog. It has a two-tone design with a teak top and dark wood legs and edges. This extension table can be easily expanded without changing the size of the table by expanding the extension top stored under the top to the center. It can be used for 2 to 4 people on a regular basis, and can be used for 6 people by quickly expanding the top when you have guests.
The Fresco series is said to be the best-selling series of G-PLAN, which took the world by storm in the UK about 50 years ago. Following the Danish series of 1960, the Fresco series was originally designed by Ib Kofod-Larsen and was later taken over by Wilkins and Victor Bramwell. The design has a strong Nordic feel, using teak wood, and it is still the most popular series that symbolizes G-PLAN today.
