This is a wall mirror from the Chinese White series designed by Victor Bramwell Wilkins for G-PLAN, a brand that is emblematic of mid-century Britain.
It was originally designed as a movable mirror for a dresser, but it has also become a standard to use it separately as a wall mirror. It has a beautiful simple form and an elegant appearance.
The Chinese White series was launched in 1956 as a "compact, space-saving piece, perfect for any room, hall, or landing." The brass fittings are an accent, and the elegant yet stylish atmosphere is characteristic of the UK. A rare similar series, Tola&Black, was also sold around the same time, but the Chinese White series is highly valued in the Japanese vintage market and is difficult to obtain.

A British designer who was with G-PLAN from its founding. He was a talented designer who was praised as being on par with the great designer Eve Kofod-Larsen within G-PLAN, and was responsible for G-PLAN's hit series "Brandon" and "Brasilia", as well as G-PLAN's biggest hit series, "Fresco", which is also popular in Japan. He also designed many other furniture pieces for G-PLAN over a long period of time, leaving behind many excellent designs. He is still highly regarded today as one of the hidden great designers who supported G-PLAN's rapid growth.
