A cup and saucer from the Villa series by ANGLE, a pottery brand from Seto City, Aichi Prefecture.
This series reuses molds from pottery that was produced in Seto City in ancient times for export, and although it is Western-style tableware, it also has a somewhat Japanese feel to it.
The inside of the cup has a flower-shaped relief.
The saucer can be used as a plate to hold sweets, or can be used separately from the cup. It can be used for everyday use or for guests, regardless of the occasion.
A pottery brand from Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, that produces creative products by examining pottery born from local techniques and history from various perspectives (=ANGLES) with the concept of "creating products from a new perspective by changing their shape to fit into everyday life."
Although it is a Japanese item, it also looks like something from overseas. The pottery is characterized by its appearance, which resembles tableware from overseas, but has a Japanese feel to it.
We develop products that suit modern lifestyles and interiors so that Japanese-made products can be enjoyed for longer and more deeply.
