Carl Hansen & Son

Carl Hansen & Son was established in 1908 in Odense, Denmark, as the workshop of furniture craftsman Carl Hansen. Carl Hansen's son Holger Hansen discovered many talented young Danish furniture designers, and in 1949, Holger Hansen began working with Hans J. Wegner. In 2002, the company moved its factory in Odense to a large, state-of-the-art facility in Orup on the outskirts of the city. While Carl Hansen & Son produces furniture by Hans J. Wegner, it also produces furniture by Christina Strand & Niels Hvass, and Bo Kastholm, the son of the famous Danish furniture designer Jorgen Kastholm.
