This is the Fresco series Rectangle Extension Table (4402D) designed by Victor Bramwell Wilkins for G-PLAN, a representative mid-century brand in the UK.
A rectangular table with soft curves on all four sides. A two-tone design with different colored materials for the table top, legs and edges. This extension table can be easily expanded without changing the size of the table by unfolding the extension top stored under the top in the center. It can usually accommodate 2 to 4 people, and when you have guests, you can quickly unfold the top to accommodate 6 people.
It has a large-capacity storage space on the bottom, a shelf with sliding doors on the top that can be changed according to the situation, and a bureau that can be opened to turn into a compact study desk, making it suitable for a variety of uses, such as a cupboard, study desk, decorative shelf in the living room, or even as an all-in-one piece of furniture for single living. This sideboard has a highly practical design that is unique to the UK, where housing conditions are similar to those in Japan.
The design has details in common with the circular table designed as part of the Fresco series living collection. It is a long table called a long john table that goes well with a three-seater sofa. It is a highly practical table with a glass top in the center and a rack underneath that doubles as a display and storage space.
