This is a six-piece vintage living system set (high sideboard, dining table, and four chairs) by Elliotts of Newbury, one of the most representative furniture brands of the British mid-century.
This is a rare living system that is rarely seen on the vintage market. It is a very unique set designed to allow a dining set to be stored neatly under a large sideboard that also serves as a cupboard.
After the war, modern Scandinavian design became very popular, and Scandinavian-style furniture began to be made in the UK as well. The UK's high level of technology and production capacity, which had a foundation in traditional furniture making, made it possible to produce high-quality furniture. Representative British manufacturers include G-PLAN, which was one of the first to adopt Danish design, and the long-established Scottish manufacturers AHMcIntosh and Nathan. There were also many other excellent Scandinavian-style furniture manufacturers. Scandinavian-style furniture made in the UK during the mid-century period is still highly regarded today for its quality and design that is comparable to authentic Scandinavian furniture, and has become increasingly popular in recent years.

- The table has two height adjustment stages, one for unfolding the table top and one for folding it (when storing). Hold the edge of the table and lift it so that the casters are off the ground. The height changes every time you lift it, as the caster adjuster function works.

A long-established British furniture manufacturer famous for manufacturing gliders. Founded in 1870 by Samuel Elliott, it started as a joinery factory. During World War I, it produced ammunition boxes, and after the war, it began manufacturing furniture. When World War II began, it stopped manufacturing furniture and started producing aircraft parts. After the war, it resumed furniture manufacturing while continuing to produce aircraft, and grew into a rare company that manufactures both aircraft and furniture. It produced many unique pieces of furniture, with simple furniture designs influenced by mid-century Nordic modernism. Although it is not well known in Japan, its furniture, which exudes luxury and elegance, is highly popular in the vintage market, along with G-PLAN and others.
