デザイナー
- Ib Kofod-Larsen (1921-2003)
He was one of the pioneers of the second golden age of Scandinavian modern design in the 1950s, known as Danish Modern. He valued the natural material of wood without being influenced by the times, and elevated traditional furniture design. He is a designer who has spread Danish design to the world. After graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, he produced industrial products and workshop furniture. He entered the Snaker Guild, a competition for Danish craftsmen at the time, and won the Snaker Guild Award. He has also won many other awards, including a gold medal at the HOLMEGAARDS Glass Competition. His representative work is the Elizabeth Chair, which was announced by the Danish Cabinetmakers Guild in 1956. It became a hot topic when Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip purchased it during their stay in Copenhagen in 1958. Other representative works include the IL-10 Easy Chair and the Danish Series by British manufacturer G-Plan. It is loved by many people along with furniture by masters such as Wegner, Finn Juhl, and Arne Jacobsen.
