This is a vintage wardrobe from the Chinese White series by G-PLAN, a popular brand representing the British mid-century.
The right side has space for hanging coats and other clothes, and the left side has drawers and shelves, making it a highly functional wardrobe that can also be used to organise small items.
The Chinese White series was launched in 1956 as a "compact, space-saving piece, perfect for any room, hall, or landing." The brass fittings are an accent, and the elegant yet stylish atmosphere is characteristic of the UK. A rare similar series, Tola&Black, was also sold around the same time, but the Chinese White series is highly valued in the Japanese vintage market and is difficult to obtain.
