This is a vintage stick back chair (391) / Blue Label by ERCOL, a long-established British furniture manufacturer founded in 1920.

This design is an adaptation of the traditional British Windsor chair, the Comb Back Chair. Its design is similar to that of the Goldsmith Chair, but the Stick Back Chair has an overall more linear form, giving it a simpler impression. It is the lightest of all Ercol chairs, known for their light weight, making it even easier to handle and use. As it is a model that is no longer in production, it is becoming less and less common on the secondhand market. Prices of vintage items in particular have skyrocketed, making it a rare and popular chair.

The blue label was used from 1954 to around 1976. The version of the label that says [MADE IN ENGLAND] was used from 1957 to 1976.
