This is the "Sierra" high sideboard (cupboard) designed by Victor Bramwell Wilkins for G-PLAN, a brand that symbolizes mid-century Britain.
The popular Sierra Series high sideboard features a simple yet stylish design. It is taller than a typical sideboard and has a large storage capacity. It has a retractable desk space (bureau) and open storage space, so you can enjoy displaying your items. It can be used for a variety of purposes, such as a cupboard, auxiliary storage in the living room, or a bookshelf/desk in your study. With easy-to-hold handles, a sleek door design, and sturdy, stable legs, this is a unique product that stands out among the G-PLAN series.
The Sierra series was released in the 1970s. It is characterized by a design based on straight lines like the early Brandon series, and is a departure from the rounded Nordic style silhouettes of the Fresco and Brasilia series, which were inherited from the Danish series designed by Larsen. This series is truly a return to the origins. It is a popular series that is said to have sold the most of all G-PLAN series, but the number of units imported to Japan is extremely small, making it a very rare item.
