A long-established ceramic manufacturer founded in Germany in 1933. Although it focused on the production of terracotta tableware, it also developed decorative items such as vases using its iconic glaze. Most of its products have "BAy" and a multi-digit number indicating the height on the bottom. Recognized for its bold, original designs and high quality, it is known as one of the most successful manufacturers of art pottery from the 1950s to the 1970s.
