The Fresco Astro Circular Coffee Table was designed by Victor Bramwell Wilkins for G-PLAN, a leading British mid-century brand.

This popular model is a masterpiece of G-PLAN, designed as part of the Fresco series living collection. It features curved legs that lift the table top from below. The glass embedded in the table top accentuates the legs, creating a comfortable unity between the frame and the table top. This is a compact center table that is easy to use in modern floor plans.

The Fresco series is said to be the best-selling series of G-PLAN, which took the world by storm in the UK about 50 years ago. Following the Danish series of 1960, the original design was by Ib Kofod-Larsen, and was later taken over by Wilkins and Victor Bramwell. The design has a strong Nordic feel, using teak wood and other materials, and it is still the most popular series that symbolizes G-PLAN today.

Victor Bramwell Wilkins

A British designer who was with G-PLAN from its founding. He was a talented designer who was praised as being on par with the great designer Eve Kofod-Larsen within G-PLAN, and was responsible for G-PLAN's hit series "Brandon" and "Brasilia", as well as G-PLAN's biggest hit series, "Fresco", which is also popular in Japan. He also designed many other furniture pieces for G-PLAN over a long period of time, leaving behind many excellent designs. He is still highly regarded today as one of the hidden great designers who supported G-PLAN's rapid growth.
