The hanauke flower vase is a vase with a plate to catch fallen petals and leaves.

The combination of different materials, white porcelain and hinoki cypress, creates a comfortable yet inconsistent appearance, making it picturesque even without flowers, and adding an accent to everyday spaces.

The plate can be used not only to arrange flowers, but also to place small items such as keys and accessories, and can be used in a variety of ways depending on the scene, such as in the entrance to welcome people, in the dining room to gather, or in the living room to relax. It can be easily removed, making it easy to change the water and care for the plant.

The narrow base makes it easy to arrange a single flower or branch.
Just one branch inserted creates a complete impression, so we paid particular attention to the thinness of the opening and the angle of the inside, hoping that even people who are not accustomed to arranging flowers will enjoy displaying them.

The cypress trays are carefully crafted in Odawara, Kanagawa Prefecture, a city known for its traditional woodworking techniques such as marquetry, by artisans skilled in delicate work.
The base is made in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, using a thin Mino ware molding method called "gaba-zukomi," which is used by few kilns these days. We aimed for a lightweight size that would make it easy to place it anywhere, such as on a dining table or in an entrance hall.
