チーク材を使用したフレーム(フォトフレーム、額縁)です。

木の質感がまるでアンティークのような落ち着きがあるフレームです。
フレーム部分が鋭角に面取り加工され洗練された雰囲気を持っていますが、シンプルなので中に入れる写真やポストカードが引き立ちます。
表面は透明アクリルボード。軽くて扱いやすく、重いフレームを置く事ができない場所にも使用できます。
チェストの上に置いて壁に立てかけたり、壁に飾ったり。金具はタテヨコどちらにも取り付けてあるので、どちらの向きに掛ける事もできます。

チークはシソ科チーク属という種類の高木で、世界三大銘木とも呼ばれる高級木材です。油分を含んでいるので木肌が滑らかで、水に強く、耐久性も高いという特徴があります。
古くは寺院や船舶など巨大な建造物に使用されて来ましたが、20世紀に入り北欧の家具デザイナーたちが椅子やチェストなどにチーク材を使用したことから、現代の私たちにとっては「北欧やミッドセンチュリーの家具でよく見かける木材」というイメージの方が強いかもしれません。

2Lサイズなので、大きめに現像した写真などが収まります。
