Minty of Oxford(ミンティ オブ オックスフォード) 社製、スタッキングビューローブックケースです。
使い勝手の良さとデザイン性により、当時から非常に人気のあったスタッキングブックケース。ライティング天板を備えた珍しい仕様で、希少なキッズサイズ(床から天板下までの高さ550㎜)となっています。収納とデスクがひとつになった大変使い勝手の良いお品です。上段は漫画本や雑多な書籍の収納、下段引き出しには雑貨や小物などの収納として、使い分けていただけます。また、簡単な積み上げるタイプの組み立て式になっており、不要時の収納性に優れている他、手入れの際も細部まで楽にお掃除ができます。
当時、スタッキングタイプのブックケースは Globe Wernicke(グローブヴェルニッケ) 社による特許品でしたが、人気を博し後年さまざまなメーカーにより製作されていました。Minty of Oxford社も上質な造りにより名の知れた著名ブランドとして長い期間に渡ってブックケースを販売しており、現在でもアンティークコレクターの間で高値で取引されています。
