英国ミッドセンチュリー期を代表するブランド G-PLAN(ジープラン)による、Victor Bramwell Wilkins(ビクター・ブラムウェル・ウィルキンス)デザイン、Brasilia(ブラジリア) サイドボードです。

日本のユーズド市場であまり見ることがない、クロームハンドル仕様の珍しいタイプです。

G-PLANの中でも人気の高いブラジリアシリーズのサイドボード。しっかりと実用性が考えられた収納部分は大変使いやすく、折りたたみ式の「ダブルフォールディングドア」がとても機能的です。シンプルなデザインながら、脚と脚をつなぐ緩やかなカーブが美しい貫のデザイン、スラリと伸びたテーパードの脚などの個性も光ります。

デンマークのデザイナー、イブ・コフォード・ラーセンを迎えてデザインされたデニッシュシリーズとほぼ同時期にG-PLANデザインスタジオがラーセンとチームを組み製作したブラジリアシリーズ。チームのリーダー、ヴィクター・ウィルキンスらによって、スカンジナビアデザインを消化吸収した英国独自のデザインを目指して作られました。使いやすく機能的で、北欧的なセンスを感じるデザインが特徴です。

1952年〜65年の間に造られた、初期ゴールドラベル。ゴールド色は当時高級家具だったことの証で、それまでスタンプだったラベルをエンボス加工し、直接ゴールド色のロゴが焼き付けてあります。
