Set of two EroS chairs designed by Philippe Starck for Kartell.

Eroes was exhibited by Philippe Starck at the 2001 Milan Salone, and is a contemporary take on mid-century modern design using Kartell's specialty plastic. The name "Ero" comes from Eero Saarinen, the designer of the Tulip Chair, a 20th century masterpiece with pedestal legs. The chair features an organic design that resembles an egg, and is comfortable to sit on, as if it were wrapping around your body. It has an Eiffel base that evokes the image of the Eiffel Tower, giving it a unique and distinctive presence.
