Founded as Frans & De Verkossen, it was renamed Frans & Son, and in 1966 was taken over by Paul Cadvius's CADO company, before finally being renamed Frans & France, but is now closed. At its peak, famous designers such as Peter Hvidt & Orla Molgaard Nielsen, Finn Juhl, Grete Jalk, and Ole Wanscher released works there, and it is a very well-known brand in the vintage furniture market.

- Arne Vodder
Born in Denmark in 1926. He majored in architecture and opened his own design office in 1952. He designed many pieces of furniture for Sibast Furniture, Fritz Hansen, and others. After he became famous, he gained popularity in the American market, and did a lot of design work for mega markets, such as corporate offices and banks across the country. He is also known for having had his chairs used by former US President Jimmy Carter and others. He designed furniture for Kippole Dinesen at the 1956 Copenhagen furniture exhibition.

- The paint is weaker than that of modern furniture, and there is a possibility of ring staining, color fading, or color migration.
- The paint is less strong than modern furniture and may shrink depending on the temperature and humidity in the place of installation or during transportation.
- The furniture is mainly oiled or lacquered, so please refrain from wiping it with alcohol.
- The furniture is shipped with a coating of maintenance oil, which will turn the furniture brown when wiped with water.
