フランスの家具ブランド TOLIX(トリックス) による、Xavier Pauchard(グザビエ・ポシャール) デザイン、H-Stool です。

1930年代にフランスで誕生したスツール。TOLIXの代表作として、長年にわたり愛され続けるアイコニックな一品です。折り曲げ加工を施したスチールシートを使用し、軽量でありながら高い耐久性を実現。鈍い光沢と無骨な質感も魅力の一つです。座面中央には持ち運びや水抜きに配慮したスリットを設けるなど、細部まで実用性を追求した設計。さらにスタッキングも可能で、省スペース収納にも対応します。

デザイナー

グザビエ・ポシャール Xavier Pauchard

1880年フランス生まれの家具デザイナー。1934年に家具メーカーであるトリックス社を創業。元々は鍋や釜などの金属日用品を作っていた金属細工師であり、職人として活躍していたが、そこで培った鉄の創作技術を家具の製造に取り入れることで、金属加工技術を使った独特のデザインや商品を発表しました。代表作A-CHAIR エーチェア(マリーンチェア)はフランス海軍にも採用された名作。屋外で使用できるスタッキングチェアとして、世界中のカフェなどで使われています。
